Leave Rules – Eligibility & Sanction

The Telangana Leave Rules govern leave eligibility for all state employees.

🔹 Earned Leave (EL): 15 days for every 6 months of service (max 300 days).
🔹 Half Pay Leave (HPL): 20 days for every 6 months of service.
🔹 Leave Not Due (Rule 15-C): Granted to permanent employees on medical certificate when HPL is not available.
🔹 Commuted Leave: Twice the amount of HPL, on medical certificate.
🔹 Maternity / Paternity Leave: As per relevant G.O.s under Telangana Service Rules.

Leave is not a right; it is subject to sanction by the competent authority.
